Awards & Opportunities
Thanks to the support of our donors, the Spotlight Awards are please to offer the following scholarship and award opportunities.
The following scholarship awards and opportunities are given in the Performing Arts category:
- First grand prize is $5,000
- Second grand prize is $4,000
- Honorable mentions receive $250
- All participants receive a certificate
- Through the generosity of the Spotlight donors, finalists in
the classical instrumental and classical voice categories will be
invited to attend the Aspen Summer Music Program on
scholarship in the summer of 2009.
- All semifinalists participate in professional master classes and
receive $100
- All participants receive a performance evaluation letter and
a certificate
- TRAINING: All applicants receive personal feedback from the judges regarding their auditions. Semifinalists will participate in Master Classes with recognized professionals in their field. All applicants who did not advance to the semifinals are invited to observe certain Master Classes.
The following scholarship awards and opportunities are given in the Visual Arts category:
- First grand prize is $5,000
- Second grand prize is $4,000
- Honorable mentions receive a $250 prize
- Semifinalists receive a $500 scholarship for summer
art classes
- Semifinalists' artwork is hung at a gallery reception
- Semifinalists receive a $100 prize and a letter evaluating
their portfolios
- All participants are invited to free art workshops led by
leading professionals and a museum tour
- All participants receive a certificate
- TRAINING: All applicants are invited to attend Art Workshops taught by leading professionals in their field. Guided Museum Tours are offered to all applicants. Semifinalists will receive personal feedback from the judges regarding the work they present in their interviews.
